Prop 103 Rebate Pioneer
Hired an attorney, studied the law, and became the first bail agent in California to publicly state that Proposition 103 allows premium rebates — that clients have a legal right to pay less than 10%. The industry tried to silence me. A federal antitrust case later cited that statement as evidence the truth was publicly available and the industry suppressed it anyway.
Sued the Insurance Commissioner
Filed Conley v. Dave Jones (BC630383) challenging the rule that made it illegal to help my own family navigate the legal system after an arrest. Lost. Follow the ruling. Built the Resource Directory as the legal answer to the question I was not allowed to answer directly.

Crain v. Accredited Surety and Casualty Company. Several defendants reached proposed settlements totaling $69.4 million. I was not a defendant. I was cited in the complaint as the only bail agent who told the public the truth about bail pricing. The case continues.
The Short Version
I got into this industry in 2008 after my construction business collapsed. I needed work that let me be present for my son during the day. Bail recovery let me work at night. That was the entire calculation.
