When Bail Is This High, You Need Someone Who's Done It Before

When bail is set at $500,000, $1 million or more, your family needs someone who has done this before, explains it plainly, and keeps your business private. I've been in the bail business for 20 years. I'll walk your family through what it takes, work alongside your attorney, and have everything ready so your loved one can come home as soon as the court allows.

There's no judgment here. An arrest is not a conviction, and my job isn't to judge anyone. My job is to help your family make a clear decision and get it done right.

See If Your Family's Home Can Qualify. All I Need Is the Address.

Shopping around? Start here. Send me the address of one or more homes your family is thinking about using, and I'll check whether they can support the bond. No applications, no Social Security numbers, no names of anyone in custody. I'll get back to you personally and tell you honestly where you stand.

Please don't include case details here. I'll talk with you privately.

How Fast Can We Get an Approval?

Usually faster than families expect. With strong collateral, I can often get a $1 million or $2 million bond approved within about an hour of getting the cosigners' names and the addresses of the properties we're using, especially during the day. Many times I only need a copy of an ID, the addresses and who's cosigning, so the approval can come back before everyone has even finished the paperwork. Late at night or on a Sunday, it can take a couple of extra hours. Either way, I'm working on it the whole time.

A Large Bond Is Approved by the Surety. How It's Presented Makes the Difference.

Every bail bond this size has to be approved by the insurance company behind it, the surety. That's true for every bail company, big or small. So the real question is who knows how to put your family's package together.

Think of it like a good mortgage broker. I understand mortgages, interest and equity. I look at your property's value several ways, so your home gets full credit for the equity it really has. Then I present the whole picture to the surety: who's cosigning, what property is behind the bond, and why this is a good bond to approve.

A well-built package can mean a faster approval, a lower down payment and more manageable monthly payments. My pricing is excellent, and families tell me they feel comfortable from the first call.

How a Large Bond Comes Together

  1. 1

Send me the address. One home or several. I'll check the equity myself.

  2. 2

Tell me who's cosigning. Names and a copy of an ID are often enough to start the approval.

  3. 3

I build the package and get the approval. I work it through with the surety for you.

  4. 4

Finish the paperwork from your phone. Or we can meet at your home, a coffee shop or my office. I go over every page with you before you sign.

  5. 5

The bond is posted. Large bonds post just as fast as any other bond. The paperwork moves as fast as your family does.

Using Your Family's Home: The Honest Answer

One home can be used, or several family homes can be combined. Equity matters more than income.

Here's the truth, because you deserve it: when you sign as a cosigner, what you own is on the line, including your home, whether or not a lien is recorded. If the full bail is ever owed and isn't paid, it can be collected from you. Whether a lien is recorded depends on the size of the bond and how payments go. If one is recorded, it's released when the case is over and the bond is exonerated.

What actually puts a home at risk is someone who runs and won't come back. A missed court date by mistake can usually be fixed. I'll explain every page before you sign, and I'll answer every question your family has.

Can the Whole Family Be Part of This?

Yes. With large bonds, I usually talk with three to five family members, and that's how it should be. We can do a conference call with everyone from their own homes, individual calls, or I'll come meet at one of your houses. Whatever works for your family.

If the Bail Goes Up, You Don't Pay Twice

Everyone is presumed innocent, but bail still costs money. And in serious cases, it happens more often than families expect: after release, new charges or counts get added, the bail is raised, and your loved one has to go back into custody until a new bond is posted.

When that happens with my clients, I give your family full credit for the premium you already paid on the same case. You only pay on the increase. If you paid for a $500,000 bond and the bail is raised to $1 million, you pay premium only on the additional $500,000.

I've done it this way for years, because I don't believe a family should pay twice for the same case.

Get Ready Before the Bail Hearing

In serious cases, bail is often set or changed in court. Families who start with me early can have the property checked, the cosigners lined up and the approval ready, so the bond can be posted as soon as the judge allows. I work alongside your defense attorney and keep things moving on my end.

Why Bail Gets This High

Large bail usually comes from added charges, extra counts or enhancements stacked on top of the base charge. For example, the One Strike law (Penal Code 667.61) adds $1,000,000 to bail in the Los Angeles and San Bernardino County schedules and $500,000 in San Diego County. In fraud and theft cases, bail can be tied to the size of the alleged loss.

You can check the official schedules yourself. A judge can raise, lower or deny bail based on the facts of the case.

Your Privacy Is Not a Policy. It's How I've Always Done Business.

  • I handle large bonds myself, from the first call to release. If another licensed agent posts the bond at the jail, they get only what they need to post it.
  • I will never post a review, testimonial or social media post about you. I don't share or talk about your case with anyone.
  • No office visit needed. You can do the paperwork from your phone or computer. If something needs a notarized signature, I can send a notary to you or you can do it online.
  • We meet where you're comfortable: your home, a coffee shop, or my office. We drive unmarked cars, with no wraps, signs or logos.
  • I never contact your employer. The only time that would ever change is if someone becomes a fugitive.

I'm old school. I'm not an attorney, so I don't have attorney-client privilege. What I do have is 20 years of keeping my clients' business to myself.

What Will It Cost?

The standard filed premium is 10% of the bail. Many families qualify for a lower rate, for example when the defendant has hired a private defense attorney. Ask me what your rate is. I'll give you a straight number and the payment options before you decide anything.

Premiums are based on rates filed with the California Department of Insurance. Any lower price is a written rebate offered under Proposition 103 and applied equally to everyone who qualifies.
